Curriculum Enrichment

Here at John Wheeldon, we want our children to be engaged and enthused by their learning. We aim to foster imagination and creativity through opportunities for them to see the world around them. We recognise the differing backgrounds and starting points that children begin our school with and aim to provide rich and immersive learning opportunities to give memorable and ‘hands on’ experiences.  Where possible, we make links with our local community and celebrate the rich history and diverse community  we have around us. Our pupil offer below gives an overview of how we enhance our curriculum in each Year group and shows an overview of the planned experiences we have to do this. Experiences are mapped out to be progressive in skills and the building of knowledge ensuring that our children develop as persevering, respectful, outstanding, unique and dynamic individuals who understand their place in today’s world.
