Welcome to Year 2!

We cover three topics over the year:

Autumn: Towers, Tunnels and Turrets

Spring: Around the World

Summer: Beachcombers

To enhance these topics further, we go on trips to Stafford Castle, Peak Wildlife and West Kirby Beach. We also have wow days where we have the opportunity to taste food from around the world and create some beach craft. We also go to St Mary’s church for our Christingle service.

Reading is at the heart of all we do, we have daily story time, daily time to read our own books and have a visit to the local library where we get our own library card and bring home a book to borrow.

Our community project is working alongside the House of Bread to collect food donations over the Harvest Festival.

Please look at our page to see some of our learning in action. You can also find our termly newsletters with key information for the term.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office who will be able to direct you to the year group lead, Mrs Gardiner.
