Welcome to Year 6!

We cover three topics over the year:

Autumn: A Child’s War

Spring: Dynamic Darwin

Summer: Hola Mexico!

To enhance these topics further, we go on a local walk to make links with Stafford’s significance in the war.

Reading is at the heart of all we do, we have daily story time, daily time to read our own books and have a visit to the local library where we get our own library card and bring home a book to borrow.

A key experience in Year 6 is our week long residential experience to Standon Bowers. This is a fantastic opportunity for children to gain a wealth of personal development experiences and an opportunity to build independence, resilience and communication skills. This trip is a direct progression in skills from the Year 4 residential.

Please look at our page to see some of our learning in action. You can also find our termly newsletters with key information for the term.

If you have any questions, please contact the school office who will be able to direct you to the year group lead, Mr Elks.
