The Local Academy Council and Senior Leadership Team would like to appoint a Learning Mentor to compliment our existing team. The school is a large and inclusive Primary school. The successful candidate must be a good team player, willing to share best practice with excellent communication. They must be enthusiastic, self-motivated and committed to young children and their development.

We are looking for an excellent individual who is able to challenge and motivate children, bring fun and enthusiasm for learning and they firmly believe that every child can achieve something they can be PROUD of. The successful applicant will develop a 1:1 mentoring relationship with children and maintain regular contact with parents/carers dealing with questions and concerns they may have.

There are three part-time vacancies within our setting. The children have very specific needs, therefore experience of working with children with SEND is preferable. These posts are temporary positions linked to specific children and will commence January 2025 or sooner depending on availability. There is the possibility that there will be the opportunity to increase hours/ extend contracts as time goes on depending on the pupils need/ provision required.

The Local Academy Council and Senior Leadership Team of John Wheeldon Primary Academy would like to appoint a Site Technician to provide efficient and effective premises and health and safety support to the academy. Such support will be inclusive of ensuring that the security and general appearance of the buildings and surrounding areas are maintained in accordance with the required standards set by the academy, heating systems operate at optimum efficiency and that the academy is a safe learning and working environment. Under the guidance of the Principal and the Senior Site Supervisor, the Site Technician will support the delivery of effective health and safety management, premises maintenance, security and management.

The successful candidate will work within the Site Team alongside the Principal, Finance Manager and wider staff cohort serving our pupil and parent community.

John Wheeldon Primary Academy is a large and inclusive primary Academy in Stafford. The successful candidate must be a good team player who is self-motivated with excellent communication skills, be able to develop strong relationships both externally with contractors and other stakeholders, and also internally with the academy staff. We are seeking to appoint someone with experience working within a maintenance setting and with the ability to work to strict deadlines.
